Good to know about the gerber daisies--I had thought of them as annuals, too, but around my neighborhood, I wonder if that's not the case--I see them blooming year after year in one particular yard. Surely they're not going to the trouble to replant the same annual in the same spot, right?

Happy Bloom Day to you, too! I hope to see it spread out into a hearty patch over the years, even as it ebbs and flows with the seasons.Mary Lintonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05442420958964677458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3882190149677701048.post-73039203304649586482014-06-16T07:44:40.298-07:002014-06-16T07:44:40.298-07:00I'm impressed you are nine months pregnant and...I'm impressed you are nine months pregnant and got out to take Bloom Day photos! I love your red, I think it's a great color for the garden.

I think you might be surprised with your gerber daisy. I have two, that survived one winter in a pot, and two single digit freezes in the ground this winter. They are not prolific bloomers, but I have been impressed with their ability to survive. I thought of them as annuals.

Happy Bloom Day! _emily_rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08044004465736417388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3882190149677701048.post-52183807635374573222014-06-15T12:57:11.499-07:002014-06-15T12:57:11.499-07:00You're right, WE may not like the warm and hum...You're right, WE may not like the warm and humid, but if a Texas gardener picks the right plants for the garden, THEY are very happy. You have lots of beauties! So glad your coneflower returned and those Blackfoot Daisies totally thrive in the hottest part of the garden--good for them. Enjoy!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
